King's provides free digital learning opportunities to help you use university systems and technology effectively, develop new skills and participate confidently and responsibly in the digital world.
Whether you want to get to grips with the digital tools you'll use at King's, build skills for your future career or learn more about artificial intelligence, you can access flexible online learning throughout your studies.

Essential Digital Skills Programme
The Essential Digital Skills Programme is a free, optional and fully online programme for King's undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Work through the whole programme or dip into the topics that are most useful to you.
You'll develop skills across five areas:
- Using KEATS, assessment platforms and accessibility tools.
- Using digital tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive.
- Digital citizenship, including online communication, collaboration and your digital identity.
- Wellbeing, safety and data protection in the digital world.
- Resources for your studies, including finding academic information, referencing and an introduction to generative AI.
The full programme takes approximately 30 hours to complete and can be worked through in your own time alongside your degree.
Students who successfully complete the whole programme can receive HEAR accreditation, where applicable, a King's digital certificate and up to 50 K-points.

LinkedIn Learning
All King's students have free access to LinkedIn Learning using their King's Single Sign-On credentials.
Explore a library of more than 21,000 courses led by industry experts, covering areas including business, technology, software and interpersonal skills.
Whether you want to develop your employability, improve an existing skill or learn something completely new, you can learn at your own pace.

AI Literacy for All
Develop the knowledge and practical skills you need to engage with artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively.
AI Literacy for All is a foundational online course developed by the Digital Education Council and available free to all King's students.
The course explores:
- Foundations of AI technologies.
- Best practice for prompting and evaluating AI outputs.
- Academic integrity in the age of AI.
- Ethics, safety and responsible AI use.
- Future workforce skills influenced by AI.
The course takes approximately four hours to complete and includes a downloadable digital certificate from the Digital Education Council.
