Introducing K Points

K Points are how we recognise your engagement with King’s Edge. They’re awarded when you take part in meaningful activities that build your skills, connections, and confidence — from one-off events to long-term projects. Every experience counts. The more you engage, the more you develop your King’s Edge.

A semi -circle diagram shows levels of involvement: Passive Experience, Involved Experience, Active Involvement, Autonomous Responsibility, and Leadership, each with related icons and descriptions.

How It Works

  • You earn K Points automatically by taking part in verified activities.
  • Each activity has a set value based on its type and duration.
  • You can track your total on your dashboard, and these will be used to unlock awards/rewards when they’re launched. If you achieve 150 K-Points, you’ll receive recognition on your HEAR for your commitment to engagement in learning beyond your course

Claim K Points

Not all learning and development takes place through activities listed on King’s Edge. If you’ve taken part in something that contributed to your skills, experience or personal development, you can submit a claim for K Points here.(opens in new tab) This includes both King’s Edge activities that may not yet appear on your dashboard and relevant extracurricular experiences outside the platform. Our team will review your submission and confirm whether it can be recognised as part of your King’s Edge journey.

King’s Experience Awards

K Points help map your journey towards recognition, like the King’s Experience Awards. Your engagement and reflections contribute directly to eligibility.

What’s Next?

We’re working towards further recognition of your King’s Edge experiences, to give you evidence of everything you’ve done during your time at King’s. We’ll keep you updated with our next steps on this work.
