This opportunity is part of the King's Edge Summer Skills Programme
Programme overview
The Student Trustee Training Programme is an intensive three‑week online training course running in July 2026, designed to prepare you to join a charity board as a first‑time trustee.
Delivered in partnership with King’s Volunteering and the Young Trustees Movement, this programme is open to 15 King’s College London students who are interested in becoming a trustee or learning more about what trusteeship involves.
The course provides a practical and supportive introduction to charity governance, equipping you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to take on leadership roles in the charity sector.

About the Young Trustees Movement
Only 1% of trustees in the UK are aged 30 or under, despite this group representing around 37% of the population. The Young Trustees Movement exists to change this by championing young voices in leadership and supporting more diverse, inclusive charity boards. Their work focuses on age diversity as part of a wider call for greater equity in boardrooms.
