This interactive workshop is designed for staff and students who want to work in partnership to address
real challenges and opportunities affecting the student learning experience at King’s. Participants are encouraged to explore wider challenges in teaching, learning and assessment where AI may play a role in potential solutions to those challenges (The focus is not limited to AI-specific issues). This workshop will provide a design-thinking model for collaboratively ideating around current challenges between students and staff.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
· Identify and articulate key opportunities and challenges affecting teaching, learning and assessment at King's from both staff and student perspectives.
· Apply a collaborative problem-solving approach to explore complex issues in partnership with staff and students.
· Recognise the value of staff-student partnership in developing effective and inclusive responses to current educational challenges.
Some of the co-created challenges will then be curated and used as hack briefs in the upcoming KAIZEN LearnHack Event in January 2027 (with permission of participants). You will also be invited to express an interest in attending this event.
We can also offer follow-up conversations for those who would like to develop their challenge into a
partnership project between students and staff through the King’s Academy ‘Collab!’ initiative and
funding. Complimentary refreshments will be served during the session.
